The challenge
Nifty is a personal project we created to explore a different approach to vegan meat branding. So many of the current brands either have a health food angle or are focused on looking just like regular meat products. We wanted to create a relatable brand that appeals to younger people who want vegan food that is tasty and focused on the high quality ingredients.
The solution
Our market research showed that humour, bold colours and illustrations were a strategic way to stand apart in the right way. Competitors are using very nature or farm inspired colours which often don't appeal to the younger target audience. Since the marketing strategy will be focused on social media, we wanted to create a versatile and modular brand that can easily be used to create assets in both video and still formats.
Process
To create a cohesive brand that is easy to use, we started by crafting a custom illustration style featuring a lot of texture and happy characters. There was also a lot of focus on the copy, creating a more memorable impression. From this base, we created the packaging, social media and website design for Nifty.
